Two announcements today, and they're both about the same thing: making 5AM easier to say yes to.
First: every paid plan just got dramatically cheaper. Not a sale, not an introductory rate — the new regular prices.

That's 75% off Standard, 70% off Premium, and 67% off Ultra. Everything else about the plans is unchanged: Premium still unlocks AI Characters, Ultra still unlocks the AI Playground, and AI semantic search stays free for everyone — it always has been.

Bring your friends: 25% off for 12 months
Starting today, every 5AM account has a personal referral code. Give it to a friend and they get 25% off any paid plan for their first 12 months — Standard for $3.74, Premium for $11.24, Ultra for $74.99 a month, for a whole year.
How it works:
- Open Settings → Subscription and find your referral code — it looks like
5AM-XXXXXXXX. - Share it however you like: copy the ready-made link (the code applies itself at checkout, and it even survives the sign-in step), or send invites by email right from the page.
- Your friend picks a plan, the discount shows up before they pay — they'll see exactly what their first payment will be — and it keeps applying automatically for 12 months.
A few honest fine-print items, because we'd rather put them here than surprise anyone: referral discounts are for new subscribers taking their first paid plan, and each personal code is good for up to 5 friends. After that, you've officially run out of friends we can subsidize — congratulations.
Promo codes, while we're at it
The referral flow is built on a more general piece of machinery that's also new: the subscription page now has a promo code field. If you have a code — from a referral, a campaign, or somewhere we haven't announced yet — enter it when picking a plan and you'll see the discounted price inline, down to the cent, before you commit. What the preview shows is exactly what your card is charged.
